There will be two Advent study sessions on music in Advent on Tuesday 6th and 13th December at 8pm in the Church. These will be led by the Curate, drawing on her previous life as a musicologist. The first, on 6 December, will consider her favourite piece of music: Bach’s famous Cantata BWV 140, Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme. The second, on 13 December, will look at the Advent Antiphons, which are the basis for the hymn O Come, O Come Emmanuel.
